About the SUSFOR Project
SUSFOR (Sustainable Forestry Education Development and Capacity Building in Tanzania and Zambia) is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in VET project aimed at modernising forestry education systems in East and Southern Africa. The project brings together partners from Estonia, Finland, Tanzania and Zambia to jointly improve the quality, accessibility and relevance of forestry training.
SUSFOR addresses the growing need for practical, digital and sustainability-oriented skills in the forestry sector. It supports green transition by empowering teachers and students with modern tools and knowledge. Key activities include curriculum renewal, digital learning tool development, staff exchange, stakeholder collaboration and public outreach.
Through international cooperation and strong local engagement, SUSFOR aims to build long-term capacity in forestry education and contribute to better livelihoods, climate resilience, and sustainable forest management in the region.
